History
(( Below you will find the history of the character in their life from Ishgard, as presented from start to finish seen through the lens of the society that observed them. Please keep that in mind when there are instances of their current gender expression not matching with their lived history within Ishgardian society. ))Karichante began their life as the firstborn daughter of Lord Nathaneal Lefeux, current head of House Lefeux. While there was some disappointment in the first child being a daughter, her father still seemed to dote upon her. This especially seemed to be true when it was discovered that she was extraordinarily talented in the manipulation of aether. He spared no expense in assuring her the finest mentors, grooming her to be an appropriate scion for the house. Her aptitude for both conjuration and thaumaturgy was something he took great pride in.As a child, she was generally quiet. At parties she would perform the minimum required socialization for her station, careful to avoid getting especially close to anyone. For the most part, she was not especially well known in high society in spite of her talents being relatively public information.She only entered public opinion after the arrival of her elder half-brother. Something about his arrival seemed to give her the spark of rebellion. Forsaking her training in thaumaturgy and conjuration, she began to focus on other avenues based on the stories that her brother had told her of the land of his birth, Gyr Abania. Her reputation began to become unruly, and it was not long after her brother’s departure that she did the unthinkable.Cutting off all of their hair and donning attire generally considered more acceptable for those of the male persuasion, they were seen coming to and from the personal chambers of their noblewomen peers in the moon leading up to their final act. At a party that their father had worked hard to establish their invitation to, they showed up in formal men’s attire. They were seen shamelessly interacting with any and everyone in entirely inappropriate ways for one of their station before they made their memorable exit, leaping from the balcony on the second floor and disappearing into the night. None from the city have been in contact with them since.

Adventurer - An adventurer of some ten turns, it's entirely possible that anyone in the profession will have met them in passing or even on a job. They're retired now. Technically. But who really ever retires from adventuring?Highborn - The name Lefeux may be known to those with knowledge of Ishgardian noble houses. Further, those that were a part of the Holy See of Ishgard some 20-30 winters past may even have heard the name Karichante as an up-and-coming mage in the House. Their exodus was rather flamboyant and quite talked about for many moons after.Atelier Lefeux - Putting their skills in spellcraft to work, the retired adventurer has set up a shop in La Nsocea. A cozy shop that specializes in the crafting of aethereal foci and devices, in whatever form is most suited to the client. Jewelry, magicked prisms, even weaponry to some extent. Karichante is quite skilled in making effective aethereal aids.The Well Runs Deep - For those with strong aetheric senses, they might notice a certain peculiarity about the Elezen. An uncommonly vast pool burning bright that seems to remain curiously unaspected until it is woven into a spell. ( Please send a tell for more info if your character might look closer. )But The Channels Are Dark - Blessed with a surplus of aether they might be, but something is horribly wrong. The channels that aether should flow through for the purpose of spellcraft are horribly damaged. Twisted, broken, and mangled beyond useability. But yet ... ( Please send a tell for more info if your character might look closer. )Aether Sensitive - Karichante has spent a lifetime working to keep it under control. Once in a while, their Sight gets away from them.
The Player
Hello and thank you kindly for taking a moment to read a bit about Karichante! I'm a mature roleplayer who's been at this whole cooperative storytelling thing for more than two decades at this point. I grew up in a DnD household where I have early memories of my parents inviting their friends over for sessions. I come by the love of imagining stories and characters very honestly.For the most part, I'm fairly anything goes. I'm not against darker themes and even adult concepts. Honestly, I am down for about anything that has good character development potential! However, I have essentially zero interest in ERP just for ERP's sake. Sorry!I have a tendency to prefer multi-para, but I'm the sort who will happily match along with someone that I find interesting. The exception to this is in especially busy settings where I usually end up posting smaller just to keep up with the scroll.Please don't be afraid to drop me a tell if you'd like to know a little more about the character or are interested in trying to set up something for potential background crossover.Generally speaking, I get up to a lot of slice-of-life style conversational roleplay, but I'm quite interested in looking for things with a little more meat. I love long-term relationships and sprawling stories!While romance may be possible with Karichante, fair warning that they are horribly dense and not actually very interested in pursuing it. They are currently in a very happy relationship and while it is polyamourous, they're not the sort to go looking. It's got to be something that develops naturally over time, and frankly, they've no interest in splitting from the partners they're involved with. They're quite happy there, so do keep that in mind if you're looking to woo the dense thembo.I'm not a huge stickler to the lore exactly as written. I enjoy creative takes on existing ideas and spins that add a little extra flavour. Over-powered and lore-bending characters are welcome here so long as it is done in good taste and isn't stomping all over someone else's fun. Goodness knows I toe the line enough with my characters.Yes, I do have discord, but I'm not like to just give it out on a whim.
